Ashland Parks and Recreation has been awarded a $1 million grant to ensure the creation of East Main Park with a pump track for bikes and a dog park. Southern Oregon University is one step closer to reaching its goal of generating 100% of its own electricity by 2033. The Oregon Department of Energy awarded SOU $1 million in a third round of state funding to help accelerate the university’s goal of becoming the nation’s first public university to generate 100% of its daytime electricity.
