Trisha Vigil: That Trump is threatening our environment and health in the Rogue Valley should be obvious to all. Where is our congressman?
Casey Botts: I speak for many, many citizens and families — most of whom don’t have the time to attend meetings and write letters — when I say the community is excited and ready to welcome this new amenity in Ashland!

MaryAnn Gernegliaro: Although I disagree with Israeli policies regarding Palestinians, I think that asking the Ashland Food Co-op to boycott Israeli products does not further the cause of Palestinians.
Kathy Collins: Now is the time for us to do more and not less – and this includes making sure Congress continues to fund Alzheimer’s research and assist with the care and support of our most vulnerable citizens.
Alison Laughlin: I encourage anyone to attend a city government meeting — City Council, Planning Commission, city Parks Commission, etc. Democracy needs citizen participation.
Matt Jones: The city appears to be spending millions of taxpayer dollars on projects where the public has little to no say in how the funds are allocated. A survey conducted by Ashland.news to gather readers’ opinions on these projects and the spending on controversial issues is suggested.
Trisha Vigil: Trumpian reliance on anti-science hoaxes in developing policy impacts us because it’s the science of weather forecasting that allows us to learn about weather extremes and fire risk.
Tome Dimitre: How many times will the chief come back to the dupes on the City Council to push his illegal agenda to deny citizens their due-process rights?
Selene Aitken: I reflect on the folks I’ve served that morning, students, families, old folk and young, friendly, sour, elegant or ragged. All need food. I am grateful to be part of the team providing sustenance and support.
