State Sen. Jeff Golden (D-Ashland) is projected to win the District 3 Senate race against former Medford Police Chief and current Medford Mayor Randy Sparacino, a Republican. As of Wednesday evening, Golden had accumulated 32,249 votes, or 52%, with Sparacino not far behind at 30,096, or 48%, with more votes, mostly mailed ballots, yet to be tallied.

State Rep. Pam Marsh, (D-Ashland), retained her Oregon House seat in Tuesday’s election against Republican challenger Sandra Abercrombie. Marsh garnered 22,225 votes (64.18%) of the vote while Abercrombie tallied 12,368 (35.71%) votes as of final election day totals posted Wednesday morning.

Oregon’s race for governor remained too close to call Wednesday morning. Democrat Tina Kotek held a narrow lead over Republican Christine Drazan. Nonaffiliated candidate Betsy Johnson was in a distant third and conceded shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Measure 15-203, which would prohibit psilocybin manufacturing and service center operation in unincorporated areas of the county, was behind by 3%.

Incumbent Tonya Graham, along with first-time candidates Bob Kaplan and Eric Hansen, appear headed to securing seats on the Ashland City Council, according to initial general election vote tallies released shortly after 8 p.m. by the Oregon Secretary of State.
