Roberts, Dyer headed for reelection; county psilocybin ban trails by narrow margin

By Bert Etling, Ashland.news

Both Jackson County commissioners running for reelection were well on track to do so according to vote totals last updated at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, on the Oregon Secretary of State’s site.

Republican Rick Dyer had 49,363 votes (58%) to Democratic challenger Denise Krause’s 35,965 (42%), while Republican Colleen Roberts was out in front of Independent Al Densmore by 45,852 (54%) to 38,182 (45%).

Measure 15-203, which would prohibit psilocybin manufacturing and service center operation in unincorporated areas of the county, was behind by 3%, 43,352 (51%) to 40,850 (49%), a margin close enough to potentially change from “no” to “yes” in later updates.
