Obituary: Grace “Lenore” McMillan Roberts, 99, of Medford, Oregon, passed away July 11, 2025. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Ashland Bible Church, 400 Dead Indian Memorial Road in Ashland, Oregon.

Jean took a job as a teller at First Interstate Bank in Ashland and over the years worked her way to bank manager at what would eventually become Wells Fargo Bank.

After graduating with his computer science degree, Richard Higgins became a part-time instructor at Rogue Community College, teaching computer science for about 20 years. He was an incredible advocate for his students.

During his career, Sadler wrote and spoke in support of such causes as gay and lesbian rights, the Death With Dignity/Doctor-Assisted Suicide law, and environmental issues.

She became one of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute’s strongest advocates, and if you were of a certain age and met her you left knowing more about OLLI than you cared to know, often with a course catalog and recommendations.
