Registration open for free training with Ashland Community Emergency Response Team

Want to help your neighbors in the event of a disaster? The city of Ashland will host a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Academy this fall. The academy provides local residents with free training on how to learn how to help themselves, their families and ultimately the community in the event of a disaster. CERT basic training is offered to the Ashland community twice a year.

Smoke expected to worsen again Monday evening

An air quality alert issued Sunday afternoon by the Medford office of the National Weather Service (NWS) says wildfires burning in the region combined with forecast conditions will cause air quality levels to fluctuate, possibly into unhealthy levels. The advisory remains in effect until 5 p.m. Tuesday.
