Winegrower John Pratt to speak at Hannon Library

Talk will focus on special attributes of the Rogue Valley that make it a top location for quality grapes and wine

Winegrower John Pratt will speak about the Rogue Valley as a treasured location for top-shelf location for quality grapes and wine at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Southern Oregon University’s Hannon Library, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.

The event is free and open to anyone. It is presented by Friends of the Hannon Library.

Pratt’s presentation, “Why The Rogue Valley Is A Treasure In The Climate Changing Wine World,” is part of the Friends of the Hannon Library Speaker series, according to a news release. Pratt is the owner of Celestina Vineyard and the president of the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association.

The talk “will focus on the special attributes of the Rogue Valley that position it in a uniquely beneficial position to surge ahead of other regions as a supplier of top-quality grapes and wine,” the release says.
