The work will prolong the life of the streets

Repairs on selected Ashland streets that began Thursday, May 29 are scheduled to complete Tuesday, June 10, according to a City of Ashland press release sent Wednesday, May 28.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Glenview Drive from Fork Street to Granite Street was closed for the day. Street closures will continue through the following week, working southward to South Mountain Avenue and Tolman Creek Road, according to the release.
Some traffic interruptions, noise, dust and parking restrictions are to be expected, with work zones marked by cones, no parking signs, and barricades.
The work will prolong the life of streets and require four hours of cure time after application for vehicles and one hour for pedestrian traffic, according to the release.
Emergency access will be maintained during closures, and crews will clean loose gravel and “surface raveling” after work is completed. The city requests that residents trim back vegetation at least one foot from the pavement, obey traffic and parking signs, avoid watering yards during treatment hours and avoid “hard tire turns” for a few days after the repairs are finished as the “material is soft and can easily tear,” the release said.
No work is scheduled near school zones during school hours.
Questions should be directed to the city’s contractor, One Way Trigger, who can be reached at 916-680-6886 or by email at INFO@OWTSolutions.com.
