‘Observer’ explores how people see the world differently

Ashland.news staff

ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum will host a free screening of a film about the power of observation on Sunday, July 27, from 4 to 6 p.m.

In “Observer,” filmmaker Ian Cheney brings people from diverse backgrounds — a scientist, an artist, and a hunter, among others — to diverse locations around the world. With the destinations kept a secret until they arrive, Cheney asks the observers to describe what they see.

According to a news release from ScienceWorks, the film is “a deep exploration and celebration of the power of observation.”

The release notes that the film asks: “What happens when you find new ways to sense and perceive the world around you?”
Space is limited, according to the press release. People are encouraged to reserve their tickets in advance, according to the press release.
