Monthly Celtic Evensong resumes Sunday

Trinity Episcopal Church hosts readings, poetry and music

Monthly Celtic Evensong and Holy Communion Service at Trinity Episcopal Church starts at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at 44 N. Second St., Ashland.

The theme for October is “Radiant Gleanings.”Each month the readings, poetry and music for the evening are chosen in accordance with the theme. The service is livestreamed on Facebook.

Vaccination is strongly encouraged. Masks are required to attend in person. Doors will open at 6:15 for quiet meditation, with Celtic music provided by harpist Kathleen Paige beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Rev. Janell Monk, Interim Rector of Trinity, will lead the service and the Rev. Meredith Pech, Deacon of Trinity, will offer a reflection for the evening. Meditative Celtic music for Evensong is composed and played by Jodi French and sung by Cantors, Shelly Cox-Thornhill and Jen Matsuura.
