Travel Medford invites wine lovers near and far to raise a glass to the history, quality, and community of Rogue Valley wines at the inaugural Savor Southern Oregon festival, happening June 13-14, 2025 at the historic Bigham Knoll Campus, just west of Medford.
Savor Southern Oregon is set to become the region’s premier annual wine festival, offering guests an immersive journey into the Rogue Valley’s award-winning wine culture. With 50+ local wineries expected to participate, the festival will highlight the very best of the region through curated events designed to educate, engage, and inspire.
The event is expected to draw more than 1,500 wine enthusiasts from across the West Coast and beyond, and includes signature experiences such as:
-
VIP Tasting – An exclusive evening showcasing reserve wines, rare and limited-edition vintages, and perfectly paired bites in an intimate setting guided by local winemakers and industry insiders.
-
Educational Wine Courses – Led by regional experts and local winemakers, these immersive classes offer a unique opportunity to explore the region’s signature varietals, winemaking styles, and the artistry behind each bottle.
-
Grand Tasting – The main event! Guests will enjoy a wide array of Rogue Valley wines in a vibrant, open-air tasting environment with opportunities to meet the winemakers, discover new favorites and purchase bottles to build their home cellars.
As part of the festival, participating wineries will have the opportunity to enter their wines into a judged competition, evaluated by a panel of esteemed experts, including Michael Alberty (The Oregonian, Wine Enthusiast), Dr. Liz Thach, MW, and Jonathan Cristaldi (Decanter).
Speaking of the event, Carole Skeeters-Stevens, Chief Marketing Officer at Travel Medford said “We’re so excited to launch this brand new event, inviting wine enthusiasts from all over to experience the unique community behind Rogue Valley Wines.
