The Guitar Society of Southern Oregon is happy to bring Canadian guitarist Pascal Valois to the Ashland library at noon on Tuesday, May 20.
Pascal is a unique musician, dedicated to reviving enthusiasm for the guitar music of the Romantic era, what was known as the Great Vogue of the Guitar in the early decades of the 19th century. He performs music from the nineteenth-century repertoire by using various period instruments, ornamentation, stylistic practices of the period, as well as improvisation, which was customary in that era.
