Southern Oregon University will celebrate Earth Day from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 21, at The Farm at SOU, 155 Walker Ave., Ashland, according to SOU’s website. The Rogue Earth Day 2023 event will feature the Siskiyou Oregon Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Association, with members displaying their electric vehicles in a showcase. Green Cars of Lithia Motors will also offer drives and rides of electric vehicles. Registration is required. More than 30 community organizations and businesses will host educational exhibits, and live entertainment will be featured on The Farm’s Thalden Pavilion stage. Children attendees can bring their bicycle and participate in the “Bike Rodeo,” where they will learn about bicycle safety while running a course. There will also be a play zone for children at the nearby ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum plaza, featuring chalk art and games. Inside, the science facility will offer a “quiet zone” inside its geodesic dome. The space will feature earplugs, snacks, seating, and quiet activities.
