Poems of Reckoning and Reclamation

Poems of Reckoning and Reclamation, presented by spoken word artist Shoshana Alexander and interwoven with music, is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Hidden Springs Wellness Center, 1651 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.

The event will include the poetry of Jane Hirshfield, Ada Limon, W.S. Merwin, Mosab Abu Toha, Joy Harjo, Mary Oliver, Langston Hughes and others.

Kris Yenney will accompany on cello, with Aharon Wheels Bolsta accompanying on Indian bamboo flute and percussion.

There will be a suggested donation of $20 to $25. A portion of proceeds will be given to a local nonprofit dedicated to the wellbeing of Earth.
