Google Earth Pro, a free mapping tool, transforms how you document your ancestors’ lives by letting you create detailed maps of their homesteads, mark key locations, and trace migration routes through time; plus, you’ll learn to overlay historical maps and create virtual tours that bring your family’s story to life.

Note: Google Earth Pro is not compatible with tablets or smartphones. A laptop with a pre-installed application is recommended for the class but is not necessary.

The class will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon. An in-person help session at the library will follow from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

Cost: $10 for RVGS members, $20 for non-members
