Join us at the Bear Creek Salmon Festival on Saturday October 12, 11am-4pm at North Mountain Park in Ashland to celebrate fall and the return of native salmon.
Bring the whole family to see the giant salmon tent, enjoy kids’ games and activities, and explore North Mountain Park. Dance to the folksy sounds of Bekka McAlvage or boogie to lively jazz with the Bathtub Gin Serenaders at the pavilion. Or wander down to the amphitheater to enjoy Native American cultural demonstrations including traditional salmon cooking and acorn processing.
Rogue Food Unites will offer healthy snacks at the Nature Play Area, while Fatso’s Cheketos offers gluten-free lunch options at the Nature Center. Exhibitors will share education about our local watersheds, native salmon, and how we can help support a healthy ecosystem in our own communities. This is a Zero-Waste event with no waste created by food containers or water bottles, instead using only reusable dishes from the Lend Me a Plate project. Join the Zero-Waste effort by bringing your own water bottle. Parking is limited, bikes are highly encouraged.
