Funds are used to support projects, materials and more

The Ashland Schools Foundation passed the halfway mark of their annual fund drive’s $100,000 goal last week, according to a news release.

The funds raised will go toward grant programs supporting projects, materials, equipment, and instruction within the Ashland School District during the 2023-24 school year.

“It is a tremendous inspiration to see the investment our community has made in supporting Ashland students,” ASF executive director Erica Thompson said in the release. “It is clear to see that residents value our educators and want to contribute to the innovative efforts the schools are putting forth to engage students and contribute to their success.”

There is still $40,000 left to raise in order to successfully complete the campaign by April 30, Thompson said.

“We are calling on the community to demonstrate this investment by helping us reach our goal so we can continue to provide Ashland teachers and students with the support they need in the upcoming school year,” Thompson said. “Gifts of any amount go a long way in making a difference in the lives of Ashland youth.”
