Economic development, affordability and livability among topics up for discussion

Topics of discussion at the annual retreat for Ashland City Council on Saturday, March 1, will include emergency management, financial information and future work plans for the city, according to an agenda for the event.
Beginning at 9 a.m. at the Siskiyou Room in the Ashland Community Development Building at 51 Winburn Way, the retreat will begin with an emergency management exercise. No further information about the content of the exercise was included with meeting materials.
Following the exercise will be presentations on financial outlook information and departmental work plans. The event will close with a “Focus area discussion” concerning economic development, affordability and liveability, according to meeting materials.
The event will be held hybrid with available Zoom meeting access but will not be recorded or televised in future broadcasts, according to the meeting agenda.
