Ashland.news staff report

The Ashland Independent Film Festival (AIFF) has announced the dates for this year’s festival: Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 3 to 6.

The festival showcases the best in independent film from around the world. AIFF is recognized for its intimate atmosphere, engaging programming, and unparalleled hospitality, according to organizers. Each year, AIFF presents feature films, documentaries, short films, and animations, along with filmmaker Q&A sessions, panel discussions, and special events.

In anticipation of the upcoming festival, AIFF memberships are now available on the website at ashlandfilm.org. Becoming a member not only supports the festival but also grants exclusive benefits, including early access to tickets, invitations to special events, and more.

Additionally, AIFF is actively seeking sponsors to support independent filmmaking and foster artistic expression.

Sponsoring AIFF2024 provides businesses and organizations with valuable exposure to a diverse audience of film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and cultural influencers.

“Community support is foundational to our organization, and our members and sponsors have been and continue to be cornerstones of the Ashland Independent Film Festival,” AIFF Board President Colin Bishopp said in the release. “We are deeply grateful for each and every supporter and partner.”

Leading up to the main event in October, AIFF has a vibrant lineup of events planned throughout the year to engage the community and celebrate the art of cinema. From “Wednesdays at the Movies,” featuring screenings and discussion of carefully curated films, to “The Gallery @ AIFF,” showcasing the work of talented artists, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Stay tuned for updates on film selections, special guests, and exciting announcements in the coming months.
