Obituary: Mollie Fuller Haskell

Mollie Fuller Haskell
January 12, 2023

December 28, 1979 – November 10, 2022

Mollie Fuller Haskell passed away on November 10, 2022, at the age of 42.

She suffered from an eating disorder for many years and died in Maui, Hawaii, of natural causes. She was COVID-19 positive.

Mollie was born in Oakland, California, on December 28, 1979. The family moved to Ashland in the fall of 1984. She attended Ashland High, class of 1998, and then went on to complete her undergraduate studies at Pomona College. She was one of several Valedictorians of her class at Ashland High and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pomona in 2002.

Mollie is predeceased by her mother, Susan B-W Haskell, who died of cancer in December 2006. She is survived by her father, Stephen Haskell, his partner Kathleen Healy, her brother Kelly Haskell, Uncle Richard West of Virginia, and numerous cousins and close friends.

In recent years, Mollie grew to love living in Maui. She had a close community of friends there and felt at home on its beaches. She particularly enjoyed watching the sea turtles and winter migration of whales. She returned to Ashland briefly last year and we had family time with her before she went back to Maui.

A memorial celebration was held on December 28, her birthday, via Zoom.

Mollie was remembered as a loving person, ready to help those in need, quick with a beautiful smile, and dedicated to her family and their traditions.

She is missed by all who knew her and is in our hearts and memories.
