Held in county jail after allegedly causing four disturbances in as many weeks

A Jacksonville woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly causing a disturbance at a warming shelter run by the city of Ashland, as well as previously at downtown businesses.
Ramona Rachel Williams, 46, was arrested Friday, Dec. 9, by the Ashland Police Department after they received reports of a disturbance at Pioneer Hall on Winburn Way, where the city operates a temporary shelter during cold nights.
The shelter closes during the day and Williams allegedly arrived 10 minutes before closing that morning and refused to leave. When police arrived, they said Williams could be heard from outside the building “screaming and yelling,” and when asked by officers to leave she again refused and was taken into custody.
Williams is also alleged to have created a public disturbance Nov. 16 at the Umpqua Bank on Pioneer Street and at Mix Bakeshop on North Main Street, and again Nov. 24 at Pioneer Hall. She was already facing charges at the time of her arrest for allegedly causing a disturbance Nov. 25 at Umpqua Bank.
She has pleaded not guilty in her new case to harassment, three counts of second-degree disorderly conduct and five counts of second-degree trespassing. If convicted, Williams faces up to six months in jail on her highest count. As of Tuesday afternoon, she was held in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
