Ashland cooling centers

The National Weather Service forecasts excessive heat starting Sunday and continuing into the week.

A cooling center for anyone needing to get out of the heat will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 N. 2nd St., Ashland.

The space will be managed by local volunteers coordinated by Avram Sacks; for more information, call 541-220-7307 or email avramsacks@gmail.com.

 

Update: From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. a cooling center will be available at the OHRA Center at 2350 Ashland St. Ashland, OR 97520. This space will be managed by OHRA (Opportunities for Housing Resources and Assistance) ph# 541-631-2235, or email ben@ohrahelps.org.
