Letter: Make the Navickas court case disappear

Let’s ratchet this silly court case down and make it disappear. 

We all need each other now and have so much more on our plates. You are both good people. I’ve known Eric Navickas for such a long time. He’s no racist, and he apologized to Ashland Police Chief Tighe O’Meara for his emotional moment, and I appreciate Tighe and his interactions with our Ashland community. 

Make this disappear. You both have much more to give in our community, our state, nation and world.

Editor’s note: Court records show a pretrial conference set for Aug. 25 for former Ashland City Councilor and 2024 council candidate Eric Navickas on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment.
