Repelling an animal attack is challenging for people and risky for the animal. I have learned that a product called Dog Horn XL is easier to use and available online. It is small and can be clipped to your belt and quickly deployed. The powerful sound stuns the attacking animal and frightens them off without inflicting permanent damage.
