Talent-based eatery Pump House 2.0 will close next week, bidding farewell to the community after some starts and stops at a busy downtown corner.

Announced Jan. 2, Pump House 2.0 will be open for its final day Saturday, Jan. 18.

“With a heavy heart, we are announcing the closing of Pump House,” the restaurant announced on its Facebook page. “We fought hard to keep our doors open, which has been a real struggle.”

“We are grateful to those of you who have supported us and our fantastic staff,” the post continued.

The eatery — distinguishable by its red- and blue-colored classic car sitting on a pole at the intersection of East Main Street and Talent Avenue — specializes in burgers, tacos and cocktails. The original Pump House was open at 102 Talent Ave. from 2016 until its temporary closure in August 2023. The owners, Jeven Showers and Garth Evey, opened Rogue Taqueria in the space a short while later.

Rogue Taqueria then became the reinvented Pump House 2.0 in early spring 2024.

Neither Showers or Evey could be reached for comment.

Showers also owns Taqueria Picaro near the Plaza in downtown Ashland.

“Let’s share a final memory together at Pump House,” the restaurant’s Facebook announcement said.

This story first appeared in the Rogue Valley Times.
