Nuclear Power: Unaffordable at any size

Misinformation and disinformation have been the hallmarks of the fossil fuel corporate campaign to undermine climate science and thwart action on climate change.

The nuclear industry is not far behind as it constantly tries desperately to sell itself as a viable, if not essential, component of a low greenhouse gas emissions solution to the climate crisis.

Lloyd Marbet and Cathy Cudy of the Oregon Conservancy Foundatin will provide a presentation entitled “Nuclear Power: Unaffordable at Any Price” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library, 1757 Ashland St., Ashland. The pair will highlight the drawbacks of nuclear power, including the oft-touted small modular nuclear reactor solution.

Following the presentation, Lloyd and Cathy will be joined by SOCAN co-facilitator Alan Journet for a panel discussion. SOCAN programs are free and open to the public.
