SOU sees uptick in enrollment as fall term begins

The Southern Oregon University campus came alive Wednesday as students made their way to classes for the first day of the fall term. According to a SOU spokesperson, preliminary admissions data suggest that there will be a small increase in overall headcount, led by about a 10% increase in new students.

SOU held its “Meet Ashland” event outside the Stevenson Union building to introduce students to Ashland businesses. Forty-three local businesses and organizations participated.
