Residents threatened with gun after interrupting predawn burglary, police report says
Ashland police are looking for the public’s help identifying a burglar interrupted in the act of taking a TV set from a home in the 300 block of Engle Street before dawn Wednesday, according to a post on the Ashland Police Department Facebook page.
Officers responding to the home just east of Clay Street and just west of YMCA Park at 5:30 a.m. were told residents confronted the suspect, who proceeded to pull out a handgun and use it to menace the residents, according to the police report.
The suspect fled without any stolen property. He’s described as a white male adult, 5 foot, 4 to 6 inches in height, weighing about 125 pounds with light-colored eyes. He’s described as wearing dark clothing, a gaiter-style face covering and a beanie-style hat.
He’s believed to be associated with the vehicle shown in the photos seen here, which was driven by someone else.
