Mountain Ave. \nJean Houston\, Ph.D.\, scholar and researcher in Human Capacities\, is one of the foremost visionary thinkers and doers of our time. She is long regarded as one of the principal founders of the Human Potential Movement. Dr. Houston is noted for her ability to combine a deep knowledge of history\, culture\, new science\, spirituality and human development into her teaching. She is known for her inter-disciplinary perspective delivered in inspirational and humorous keynote addresses. \n“Jean Houston’s mind should be considered a national treasure”\, said Buckminster Fuller\, a renowned American philosopher\, thinker\, visionary\, inventor\, architect\, engineer\, mathematician\, poet and cosmologist. A life-long friend of Jean Houston\, his observation is shared by the thousands of individuals\, communities\, organizations and nations that have been and continue to be inspired by her words. \nRev. DESCRIPTION:The focus of this one-hour hatha yoga class is to increase strength\, flexibility and balance while simultaneously alleviating stress and fatigue.  Additional benefits of regular yoga practice include an overall sense of well-being and an increase in self-awareness and self-acceptance.  Participants must be aware of their own capabilities in order to participate safely.  Ability to get up and down from the floor is required.  Each class will conclude with deep relaxation. I will meet you there.” ~ Rumi\, 13th Century poet \nWelcome from the Founder \nThe Sacred Walk to 2025 is a path to walk together in an oasis of peace and beauty: where we walk alone yet together as we reflect on the end of what has been and what might be; where we remember\, release\, receive\, return\, and rejoice. \nThis cherished Ashland tradition arose in 1999 amid the world-wide concern about Y2K; it continues to offer respite in today’s troubled times.
