A Shady Cove resident since 2008\, her family ties to the Upper Rogue date back to their relocation from Chicago in 1971. \nThe monthly Windows in Time lunchtime lectures feature well-known writers and historians and bring alive the people\, values\, and events that shaped our southern Oregon heritage. Lectures are jointly sponsored by the Southern Oregon Historical Society (SOHS) and Jackson County Library Services. A kick-ass guitarist as well\, whether playing solo or with a band “Force of Nature” her acoustic guitar conjures percussive poly-rhythms\, bass lines\, and melodies that perfectly frame her vocals. \nHer band “Force of Nature” consists of her long-time drummer Nick Kirby\, guitarist Andy Casad\, and bassist Matt Spencer. Nick started playing drums at 2 years old with his dad Sonny Boy Kirby and is not only an amazing drummer\, but a bassist\, singer\, and guitarist as well.
