After you finish a puzzle\, online explanations of clues and themes can deepen your understanding. \nSteve Weyer has been a “cruciverbalist” (crossword aficionado) since the 1990s. He developed CrozzWord\, a Java-based crossword solving application\, in 2002. Since 2010\, he’s been solving puzzles on his iPad\, teaching crossword courses at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute\, and constructing crosswords for fun and local organizations. His first New York Times crossword is scheduled to debut in 2023.

SUMMARY:Wildflower ID - Sunday Hike
DESCRIPTION:Come and enjoy the wildflowers on a high elevation hike. The location will be determined based on where the wildflowers are blooming! We will have the opportunity to stop and identify wildflowers along the way with the help of Collette Streight\, Executive Director of Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument\, and Liz Landreth\, our resident “Flower Floozy!” \nLiz Landreth has been conducting wildflower walks for adults and kids off and on for more than 15 years. She began with Sonoma County Parks Department and\, since moving to Ashland\, with the Ashland Hiking Group\, Southern Oregon Land Conservancy and Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. She is an amateur botanist with emphasis on intriguing stories about plants and our relationships with them. \nWe will meet at 9 a.m. at the Rite Aid in Ashland and make our way into the Monument from there. Bring a lunch or snack to enjoy at the top\, and plenty of water and sun protection for the more exposed sections. Hiking boots are recommended. This will be a moderate to easy hike. \nThe Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is a nonprofit organization\, and our mission is to support the protection\, restoration\, and conservation of the monument through service\, advocacy and education. Our Hike and Learn program is designed to introduce the public to different topics and locations within the Monument. Hike and Learns are co-created with local scientists\, historians\, artists\, students\, and more.

I’m looking forward to finding what District 3 citizens are thinking out — and actually hearing it in person for a change.”

During her time in Internet marketing as an entrepreneur\, she produced branding logos and several independent websites of her own creation and purpose. \nShe also became a prominent blog writer/photographer for the City of Newberg\, interviewing many local businesses. This led to First Friday Art Walk showcasing’s of her work. Being a recreational and pilgrimage world traveler\, she has traveled Paris to Rome\, starting with Notre Dame\, resting in the South of France and Monaco\, exploring Assisi and Florence Italy\, to wrap up with a tour of The Vatican. She recently spent several weeks along The Nile in Egypt from Cairo to Luxor to Aswan exploring Pyramids and Temples. This year she returned from retreat in Rishikesh\, India where she spent time working with children\, meditating in caves in the Himalayas\, and learning Hindu Culture.
