DESCRIPTION:Every autumn\, Chinook salmon swim back up the Rogue River to their birthplaces in the Rogue and Illinois Valley rivers and streams to spawn and continue the salmon life cycle. \nWe invite you to join KS Wild staff on this easy walk to look for salmon returning home to spawn in the Applegate River. You will learn about where they live\, their behavior\, and ways we can help them along their journey home. \nThis is an easy 1-mile round trip walk along the river bank. No elevation gain. Kids are welcome!

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday October 13th at 2 pm the Talent Historical Society Museum\, 105 N Market\, will be showing two films by Mark and Cici Brown documenting the rebuilding of the historic Malmgren Garage in Talent. \n“Beacon of Hope” is a 2-minute film showing architecture projects that transform communities. It shows how architects\, civic leaders\, and community all work together. It was a finalist in The America Institute of Architects Challenge. \nThe second film “Art of the Fire” brings together artists and writers who have shared experiences with the devastating Almeda Fire. They tell stories about personal loss\, healing and moving forward. This film was selected and nominated for the Montreal film festival. \nPlease join us for this free community event and bring a friend.
