SUMMARY:October First Friday Art Show with Shanna Rose and Wear the Forest- Botanical Prints
DESCRIPTION:Botanical Print is an art form that transfers images of leaves\, plants\, and flowers onto natural fabrics using only non toxic mordants (soluble metal salts) and plant dyes. \nHeat is used to coaxe the tannins and pigments from the leaves onto the cloth. Fibers used are silk crepe and charmeuse\, virgin wool\, and raw silk. \nArtist Bio: Fiber Artist Shanna Rose expresses her passion for the natural world through her Botanical Print.
