SUMMARY:Ashland Christmas tree sale
DESCRIPTION:Ashland Scout Troops No. 112 and 8112 will hold their 65th annual Christmas tree sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday\, Dec. 2\, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday\, Dec. 3\, at the Elks Lodge parking lot\, at the corner of Lithia Way and First Street\, Ashland\, according to a news release. \nFarmed trees that are six to eight feet tall and local mountain-cut Noble firs that are up to 12 feet tall will be available. Sale proceeds will help to support Scout activities throughout the year\, the release said. \nScouts will be available to help attendees select their tree\, carry it to their vehicle\, and tie it on top\, if necessary. Mistletoe\, decorated holiday wreaths\, hot chocolate\, and coffee will also be available for sale.

DESCRIPTION:Janus Jazz Quartet will perform on Sunday\, Dec. 3 (with a guest appearance by singer Christine Williams). \nSteve Davidson (saxophone)\, Thor Polson (piano)\, Dave Miller (bass)\, and Theresa McCoy (drums) will perform originals and jazz masterpieces that don’t normally receive the attention that they so richly deserve. \nThe concert will take place at 4 p.m. at La Baguette Music Café\, 340 “A” St.\, Ashland. Admission is $25\, and reservations can be made by calling 541-482-0855. Tickets can also be purchased at the door\, but making a reservation is advisable since these concerts sell out quickly.
