SUMMARY:Sunday hike at Lost Creek Falls
DESCRIPTION:Join our summer interpretive ranger\, Meaghen O’Rourke\, as she leads us to view this hard-to-find waterfall behind Grizzly Peak! The hike is two easy miles. The road is gravel but doesn’t require a high clearance vehicle. We will likely be back earlier than 3 p.m. \nWe will meet at 9 a.m. at the Rite Aid in Ashland\, located at 2341 Ashland St.\, and make our way into the Monument from there. Please bring water\, snacks and a lunch. Hiking boots are recommended; your shoes are likely to get a bit wet. \nFriends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument serves as a public interface for the local Bureau of Land Management. We are a nonprofit organization\, and our mission is to advocate\, educate\, conserve\, and protect the Monument. \nOur programs are designed to introduce the public to different topics about and locations within the Monument. They are co-created with local scientists\, historians\, artists\, students\, and more.

SUMMARY:Music in the Meadow: Concert Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the beginning of summer with us and help support our programs with local youth\, volunteers\, interns and Tribal members in 2023. The band plays a mix of original and Americana favorites from high-stepping dance numbers to chilling vocal ballads. \nKismet is an Ashland-local trio featuring Celia Harris on violin\, Rowan Buck on accordion\, and Erik Neumann on bass. They perform a mix of instrumental music ranging from jazz and tango tunes to film scores to pop songs by Radiohead and Nirvana.
