SUMMARY:ACCESS Senior Fair
DESCRIPTION:The 2023 ACCESS Senior Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday\, April 4\, at the Medford Armory\, 1701 S. Pacific Highway. \nThis will be a great opportunity to connect again in person while sharing needed resources with our seniors\, their families\, and each other. We have a broad selection of vendors who will offer an information-based resource fair for seniors\, their families and others who provide care and services to this population. There is no cost to attend. \nLive music will be provided by Rockafairy\, an emerging non-profit with a desire to connect more with our local senior population. Primarily this will be solo singer/songwriters with a focus on older music\, but we hope there will be one trio including a stand-up base. \nNot only will we have a bingo room with local celebrity callers from Newswatch Channel 12\, but we will also have a bingo game for attendees to increase engagement with vendors. Upon entry attendees will receive a double-sided sheet with vendor business names and a blackout bingo offering.

SUMMARY:Ride for safe Streets and the climate!
DESCRIPTION:Show your support for climate action and safer streets in Ashland during a rally and a community bike ride\, scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday\, April 4\, at the Ashland Plaza. \nWe’ll meander from Ashland Plaza to Ashland City Chambers\, 1195 E Main St.\, where Ashland City Council will be making important decisions about potential street projects\, including protected bike lanes. We’ll meet at 5 p.m. for sign-making and snacks and ride at 5:30 p.m. Bring wheels\, a helmet\, and your sense of fun. \nAt the end of the ride\, there will be an option to attend the city council meeting\, which starts at 6 p.m. A bicycle corral outside is available to keep your bike secure until 7 p.m. \nWant to show your solidarity without riding a bike? Join us for the rally beforehand\, or meet us afterwards at Ashland City Chambers.
